Prince Philip, a ‘Royal’ win by Prince Philip on the Royal Yacht Squadron line,

Cowes Week.

I was able to get close enough to Prince Philip to create this painting and by happy chance Prince Philip, helming his friend’s Sigma 38 yacht Yeoman XXVIII, won that particular race.

Prince Philip is in this painting clearly recognisable in red, helming Yeoman XXVIII to victory.

A unique unrepeatable souvenir of the world’s most famous regatta and a great man, Prince Philip, “a fine spirited painting”, cheap at twice the price.

The Press are not encouraged to follow royalty at Cowes Week, then again, although a qualified photographer, I’m an artist so only ‘Press’ when it suits me.

On this day with the able assistance of a Cowes waterman I was able to get close enough to Prince Philip to create this painting and by happy chance Prince Philip, helming his friend’s Sigma 38 yacht Yeoman XXVIII, won that particular race.
