Launch of the Lord Nelson – Extra Info

Launch of the Lord Nelson Lord Nelson evolved from an original idea of an unrecognised modern hero Christopher Rudd, who thought it possible to benefit and take disabled people to sea.
Christopher started with large dinghies on a lake near Crowborough in West Sussex and progressed to chartering the “Marques” and “Maria Asumpta” before his idea was taken up for a custom built modern sailng barque, the Lord Nelson.
