My flight was confirmed today. Apparently I’m going to be a starlet on TV a first for a marine artist?
This re HM Schooner Pickle, the gallant little ship that carried the news of the battle of Trafalgar and the death of Nelson, interview to be with Tom Cunliffe…
marine artist
A greatful gift
Plymouth Naval History Library staff have been hugely helpful with my research over many years.
“Masterpiece … … Renowned Marine artist has presented a stunning framed print to Plymouth Central Library” recorded The Herald and The Extra, while less helpfully leaving out my web site or contact details.
I felt is was about time I did some thing more tangible to show my appreciation to the staff at Plymouth Central Library , something they would like.
A worthwhile AGM
At the Royal Western Yacht Club, an event that was one of the main reasons I am in Plymouth this week.
Today firmly wearing my marine artist’s hat and bright red sea jacket I attended the British Marine Federation South West AGM and if that sounds dull I can assure you it was not!
Monaco Yacht Show, the day after…
This time I drove to Monaco from Nice, with the Monaco Yacht Show is officially finished parking is much easier.
Great morning for meeting crews and photographing the yachts but one needs to be organised and quick.
I’d loved to have devoted some time to marine painting, oil or watercolours, probably water colours.
Life drawing plien aire, starring *Emmanuelle Duchesse*
Naked model or clothed, Emmanuelle Duchesse proved to be a beautiful charming and nubile model for some 11 very talented artists’ life drawing in varied styles near Itzac.
Claire de Soissons who lives near Itzac created this life drawing occasion, no teaching, rather a congenial chance to get on with the work.
This life drawing session was a pilot scheme for future days to network with other artists and people interested in fine art.
