Salvador Dali, a magic name, one of the most celebrated artists of all time.
One of the reasons I took a recent mini break was to get a better feel for the attitudes and the work of the marvel, Salvador Dali.
Few artists have had such a profound effect on the way people think today as Salvador Dali.
What have Salvador Dali and fresh sardines in common? Me last week, I was sitting in hazy sun, at the bar and restaurant on the ‘Dali’ beach, looking at Salvador Dali’s home, the tourists and the fishing boats, speaking with people who remembered Dali; and thinking… sardines? recommended by the paton…caught that morning. I may even have spoken earlier with the fisherman… I like that though…sardines.

Gordon Frickers résumé has had new information and new pictures added.

Gordon Frickers is special because:
‘Sauternes from the North’, painting made on location and slightly re worked this month. 
If you have not done so before I heartily recommend you sample a few Sauternes wines, their variety is quite surprising.
The port of Gaillac 1863, converting the foyer of the new wine museum ‘inVINcible VIGNEron’ at Montels near Gaillac into a studio and family home… 
The museum is now open so you can see the work in progress. The river Tarn is still only under painted, the light here has not yet been good enough to work up the final colours.
I’ve just finished a gruelling 6.5 hrs painting The Port of Gaillac 1863, didn’t stop to eat and only drank one Coka (yuk…) unstoppable steady progress, the light was excellent in the Tarn today so the order was ‘make full sail’.

Famous for the very best of red wines, St Emilion, have you been there? A UNESCO world heritage site, this very beautiful little town will feature in my major project for this year, ‘Picturesque Wine Villages of Bordeaux‘. I’m looking for exhibition sponsors, ideas?
Painting Progress: I have been and will be majoring on working on ‘The Port of Gaillac 1863’ for the new wine museum ‘The museum ‘inVINcible VIGNEron’ at Broze near Gaillac opening this month, official inauguration next month, 16 / 17 May (a party not to miss!).
