Boeing 727 landing at Heraklion, Crete”, 46 x 61 cm (18″ x 24″) and is the only aircraft painting still available via me or my website.
This ‘housework’ was inspired by a request to use my aircraft painting
for the title page of a new book.
As it happens, there is only one painting still available for sale on this page.
Boeing 727 landing
The painting is the remarkable, you are in the jump seat on the Boeing 727 flight deck Britannia Airways light BY 858A, on the final approach to Heraklion, Crete.
You are 700 feet up and 1.5 miles out from the runway and about to fly over the port
Credit where it is due, my special thanks to Captain S.R. Sanderson and First officer G. Sharp who ensured the instrumentation show is entirely correct.
Today due to Muslim terrorists I’d not be permitted on the flight deck which makes this painting all the more exceptional.
