A lovely way to start the day

A completely unexpected message :
“I saw a lovely painting you did on the lugger ‘Barnabas’ years ago and in the text you wondered where she was now.
Barnabas, lugger

Cornish Lugger, ‘Barnabas‘, Barnabas, lugger, 23 X 35 cm (9″ x 14″) Watercolour, made approximately 1974.

Available £/€ 357 from my website page via Paypal or bank to bank payment.

An very early example of my emerging talent so potentially a good investment as my reputation grows.

“Lugger  ‘FY I’,  she is now 140 years old, based in Newlyn and lovingly sailed and maintained by folks from the Cornish maritime trust”

We have so much fun with her… in Cornish waters and Brittany.
Barnabus bowsprit fun
She’s the most amazing lugger, a real head turner. 140 years old this year, probably making her the oldest still sailing, in the ‘original’ style”.
We took her to Morbihan in ‘19 for a massive week long festival and she won the oldest traditional vessel award.
Knowing the generosity and passion the French have for the sea I was not surprised to read “We needed a day to recover from the French hospitality that night… !”
Barnabus lugger,
Less fun to read was “Sadly C-19 has halted our sailing schedule again as the Trust needs to be safe”.
However, with typical Cornish generosity Rob closed with “If you’re ever down around Mousehole, do look us up. Hope you like the more varied pics… All the very best
