“Word of Mouth“, a Nelson and Trafalgar painting well worth the price and more as an “after dinner” subject.
The Royal Navy’s most famous schooner HMS Pickle, described by Nelson as “ubiquitous”, is according to Cornish oral tradition sailing into legend.
This painting is one of my yet to be exhibited in public, ‘Nelson and Trafalgar‘ series, a great investment opportunity for a reputable gallery, agent or fine art collector.
Cornish oral tradition asks us to believe that the first official announcement in Britain of the Trafalgar and Nelson news was by the Mayor from the musician’s gallery in the Assembly Rooms at the Union Hotel, still a hotel today, at Penzance.
Is this true?
For sure this is still celebrated with a ‘Pickle Night’ in Penzance.

Better still buy this modestly priced painting 62 x 47.5 cm [24 1/2 x 18 3/4], available £/€ 6,000.
Any reputable gallery should be delighted to offer this painting for this price it is an investment that will never date, it is or soon will be worth double my modest asking price.
