Rhoda Mary remembered

A lovely Facebook surprise today.
I was distracted enough to change course to investigate the page https://www.facebook.com/Rhoda-Mary-Project-1543742422567487/ where I found an attempt is being made to return the wreck of the famous “Rhoda Mary” to Cornwall.

This is meaningful for me for a number of reasons.
Many years astern Frank Trebilcock asked me to paint “A Dispute Settled” for him, the picture I’ve posted here.

My painting is still in Feock now owned by his son.
As for helping the project raise funds, the painting is available as a fine art print on canvas for the look and feel of the original, from £157 inc P&P.
Maybe there is a deal to be done?

I lived for a while in Falmouth, had many adventures there and in wider Cornwall.
I learned ship and boat building at Fal Tech, mostly from Sid Yeo and John Sloggitt and am still firm friends with Frank’s son so I find myself occasionally in Feock and near where “#RhodaMary” was built…
