Victory almost sunk

1922, HMS VICTORY was this week, having been rammed afloat, hastily moved into No 2 Dock,  Portsmouth to be preserved for the nation.

My ‘Nelson & Trafalgar Collection’ was commissioned to help raise funds for Victory and R N Museum Portsmouth.

The collection still remains never publicly exhibited, most of the paintings available.

This study, “Dockyard 400” was made on location, while I was ‘Victory 2005 Official Artist’.

The project took me to many parts of England, France and Spain researching a balanced perspective, lesser known facts and original material about Nelson and Trafalgar.

You can discover more of this great adventure via my page The Nelson & Trafalgar Collection.
