“La Recouverance”, her name, with typical French humour, is that of the ‘red light’ district of the port of Brest.

“La Recouverance”, son nom, avec humour typiquement français, est celui de la «lumière rouge» quartier du port de Brest.

During the Revolutionary and Napolionic Wars the French captured some 10 % of British merchant ships.
