After the cherries, Cinderella

The best cherries I have ever ever tasted are ripe right now, hundreds of them,  on a little tree in the garden here at Laborie. I wish i could share them with you.

Life is like a bowl of cherries, best plucked direct from the tree with your own hand. True is it not?

Painting verses web sites…

Painting and a headache, this year I’m investing a lot (more) of my time on web site development and maintenance. I should paint almost every day, J M W Turner managed that,  easier said than done.

My current concern is to get my original site www.frickers.co.uk updated and have time to paint. here is the progress with my newest landscape painting. www.frickers.co.uk is gradually becoming a specialized marine art web site I’ve posted a longer article about this evolution and creation of the painting on my new www.artfrickers.com (landscape painting) web site.

The house of Salvador Dali

Salvador Dali, a magic name, one of the most celebrated artists of all time.

One of the reasons I took a recent mini break was to get a better feel for the attitudes and the work of the marvel, Salvador Dali.

What is a ‘remarque’?

Sometimes I am asked “what is a remarque?”
I have just drawn 5 for a client who has ordered 4 copies the edition of of “Bamora and Canberra” (limited to 25 signed numbered copies only) and one of the famous “Roaring Forties” numbered, co signed by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.
To further explain a remarque I’ve attached 2 photos here.
