Bamora, the extra mile
I’ve worked up this ‘Bamora’ study, modified the background to this study of the ship ‘Bamora‘. If we (my client and I) are still not happy I’ll make another drawing and another until we are as content a bonsun with a barrel of rum.
I was not satisfied with the scale of the background, the relation – ship and distance between background and ship.

Bamora and Gaillac
An urgent great commission, the ship ‘Bamora’ in Sydney Harbour’ circa 1965 & I’m really looking forward to painting Bamora, a classic cargo ship.
This new painting is overdue my starting so I am / was very anxious to return to Gaillac.

Last evening I had the very good fortune to see this film in the company of the remarkable painter David Folley, then enjoy a dinner and discussion with Mr. Folley.
Mr. Folley liked the film Mr. Turner; I thought the film Mr.Turner very disappointing.
