Web site & email errors – ABC, testing Word Press & 34sp.com

The web site has been moved to join the blog using WordPress.

If you find a link that does not work please report it to Gordon via gordonfrickers@nullyahoo.co.uk or by phone using the  contact us page, thank you.

All is now under the control of 34sp.com & to a lesser extent, Gordon Frickers.

The web site in theory is fixed now, fully operational except for the vital payment page .

We had problems because of the .htaccess rename.

The content of the file .htaccess. broke,  there are lots of redirects in there, one which handled the all important client’s order section.

If you find a link that does not work it will be a case of checking that file for a redirect rule and then copying it to the new .htaccess file.

If you find a link that does not work please report it to Gordon via gordonfrickers@nullyahoo.co.uk.

With regards the sending of emails for Pobox and Yahoo addresses, we can still receive these via their own SMTP settings and send /reply via Yahoo.

We are still unable to send via Pobox.com so are concentrating our efforts with 34sp to restore receive / send  for the addresses ending with  @frickers.co.uk.

All these problems started with the failure starting last November of Windows Live Mail to send email from Gordon’s French address.

You can be sure we are doing our best to overcome some formidably frustrating technical issues and intend  our email service to be restored as soon as humanly possible.

Some of these problems were due to be addressed anyway as part of a major upgrade for the web site in the first half of this year and the launching of a second web site later this year.

If you find an email or part of the web site  that does not work please report it to Gordon via gordonfrickers@nullyahoo.co.uk or by phone using the  contact us page, thank you.

Meanwhile outside the studio in SW France the weather continues cold with light snow again today.

Local people are saying this has been one of the wettest starts to the new year they can remember. I think, yes, not unlike an English spring…

So far our lowest temperature has been – 7 C on one night so we are relatively lucky, not a cold as last year and less snow.

The air has often been so clear we can clearly see the snow covered Pyrenees about 100 miles to our west.

I posted a photo of the Pyrenees here for you, can you see it or do we have another glitch to hunt down…?
