Tour de France, tourists and a secret wine
Great excitement in Castelnau de Montmiral today, the Tour de France passed this morning.
This meant the village was hovered over by 3 noisy helicopters filming live for French national TV.
While CdM got no obvious benefit from the Tour de France, over the past 2 years we have been getting more tourists.
Mini drama in traffic, St Emilion and so to Castelnau de Montmiral
Got back safely despite the effort by an Arab looking felon to sink me on the Bordeaux periferique in heavy traffic… click the pic and look at his wing mirror… and my Vectra has an offside unfashionable blue line, clipped mirror and broken indicator.
Could have been worse; however when my car was hit I did not know that and that son of a crazy bitch refused to stop.
Trafalgar and Roscoff
The new signed numbered of edition, “Trafalgar Dawn the French Perspective“ I am delighted to report, was completed this morning. I literally collected the first copies on my way to Amorique, the Plymouth Roscoff ferry, click on the image to see what we have here.
Alan said, “don’t open them on the ferry, I don’t want you bringing them back” – not likely, excellent!
Once again Adaptgraphics have made a superb job of this new print including the remarque, this will make a thrilling pair when shown with “Trafalgar Dawn the view from H M S Victory” as each picture looks into the other, a true pair.
A near perfect day
In the parlour
Instigated by Bob Brennan we had a most interesting visit and hour and a half discussion on Plymouth related art topics with the Lord Mayor of Plymouth and the lady Mayoress.
Both are interested in and supportive of the arts and sports, the mayor being among many other things a former art school school graduate.
