The village is according to the inhabitants, at the exact centre of this region, Entree de Mere. Gordon found himself locked in his chambre d'ote the morning he planned to complete this painting. He had left his house key in his car... Rather than be beaten, he jumped from a first floor window in order to be on location before dawn to prepare for this study.
