Commissioned by and in the collection of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston who said "I would love another Frickers painting". Later he commissioned "The Clipper Way" and "Dumra, Departing Bombay".

Aged 67, Sir Robin has taken on a circumnavigation once more, alone again. "This sort of thing is chess with pull-ups", Knox-Johnston said. The Velux Five Oceans Race began in Bilbao, Spain. Robin sailing Saga Insurance is the oldest and most revered of the eight competitors in this gruelling three-stage, single-handed, around-the world regatta.
