An unknown coaster outward bound from Par Docks, Cornwall for who knows were? A typical coaster in the China Clay trade making her early departure on a warm December morning.
A view from the kitchen window. The artist lived for 5 years just behind Par beach. The village of Par, Near St Austell, on the South Cornish Riviera was and remains very much a true Cornish working village with a long tradition of handling China Clay cargos and repairing ships. Both the Jane Banks and the more famous Waterwitch finished their days at Par and were laid up on the beach there for 2 years.
Let me tell you the story about Misty Morning.
By Gordon Frickers 9"x12" (228x305mm), oils, Price of the original £1,000 (A Page from a sketch book)
