Mike Mac

Commissioned by Michael McNamara as a gift for his Father and Mother, great sailor and splendid bloke who we miss greatly as a friend since he moved to Norfolk.

The picture shows Michael with his brother in his current Albacore class dinghy, where he learned to sail, Grimsby Docks. The second boat shown is the Albacore that he first learned to sail in.

Mike McNamara, formally a school teacher went on to become the best of sailmakers, highly successful (now based in Norfolk), excellent racing coach and very amusing lecturer. Mike has won over fifty world and national championships. Possibly a record.
