Stefan Batory was built in the Netherlands (Holland) as the "Massdam" for Holland America Line and finished her days with Polish Ocean Lines. Her Polish crew were immensely proud of her. She retained many of her original Dutch features, even her "Palm Court orchestra". She was cared for and being a small liner still looked and felt quite yacht like.
