Plymouth, the city has been my home for over 22 years, most of which was based in Plymstock.
Almost all of my most famous paintings were created while living in Plymouth including Roaring Forties http://www.frickers.co.uk/marine-art/suhaili.html
A few copies, signed by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston are still available from http://www.frickers.co.uk/prints.html
You can add a copy to your collection with confidence using PayPal on the Print Gallery page.
I am having 2 relaxed enjoyable and sociable weeks in Plymouth. (more…)

I am flat out working on new marine art, the largest marine painting will be a view of Plymouth Sound, the Cattewater including Commercial and Pheonix Wharves , by moon light and intended as a major exhibition piece to be shown at my coming exhibition at the European Parliament then later an exhibition at Plymouth.
This Plymouth scene is not a long story but goes back a long way.
Here is a progress report including sketches to date. (more…)

A warmer day today (still F cold this eve). Excellent light today for painting.
Alone in the studio, I was able to spread out a bit and enjoy the calm, concentrate.
I am more productive given a tranquil studio. I recently worked out I could manage with a minimum of 75 sq m space to live and work, of course it would have some conditions attached, like good light, calm atmosphere and ADSL/Broadband…
The new marine painting “Racing Yachts” featuring Swan Nautor type yachts is almost complete.
