Great excitement in Castelnau de Montmiral today, the Tour de France passed this morning.
This meant the village was hovered over by 3 noisy helicopters filming live for French national TV.
While CdM got no obvious benefit from the Tour de France, over the past 2 years we have been getting more tourists. (more…)

I leave Watten and turn my car South South South via Paris with it’s nightmare traffic.

Kidnapped! When I thought I’d be heading for ‘home’ with my precious cargo from the European Parliament exhibition I find myself kidnapped, forced off course onto the Opal Coast, Cote Opale, Pas de Calais.
My new and already firm friends Gilles and Brigitte Baffy have absolutely insisted I do not return today. (more…)
