Racehorse progress

Here we go again, brace yourself, be sitting comfortably before looking at the images…

Attached are images of the progress with Racehorse.
Rather like writing a book or building a boat, it’s bit of a mess there is much still to do, as yet nothing is really finished but definitely showing promise.

A rare selfie taken today just to celebrate and share a fine warm day here at Thehillac.IMG_1575

In particularly I am concerned about the colour of the sea and sky in this painting.

My feeling is the structure is basically ‘there now’ and the colours close to where I originally imagined.

Much more stormy scene than my “I Have Urgent Dispatches” which has become quite famous, but still colours that are related.

I will continue to work on all aspects, refining mood, colours.
As you can see, I have begun to add deck and other details.
I am very fortunate to be guided by the redoubtable naval author Peter Goodwin re technical details and indebted for the original idea to Peter.

I still have much to do to the sea which I want to look more ‘stormy’.
