News here, I go to England

Friday, October 29th, 2010
News here, I go to England in about 2 weeks and besides business, seeing friends and shopping hope to return with an old 5 m sailing dinghy intended to be good for my mental and physical health.
Otherwise, busy as usual with marine paintings, including reworked an oldie, slightly, Admiral’s Cup racing featuring the yacht Oracle. Admiral__s_Cup_IMG_8854_28.10.10_d.jpg
I must make an effort to market my work. really though, I am much more interested in painting so need an agent, any ideas who or how please?
Its been a cool summer here in SW France and a chilly autumn so I can’t yet say if this will be a good year for wine. Autumn_vines_IMG_8784_d.JPG (more…)

I have not been trying very hard to solve this issue partly because I have a lot to cope with here at present, partly because I am now thanks to my friend Francoise Boitel who is now my landlady, I’m reasonably secure at Castelnau de Montmiral until May if I want to stay here.

sunset_02.10.10_IMG_8758_d.JPGYesterday closed with a classic sunset, we have an invigorating ‘reefed topsail’ day here today, sunny warm and unusual in the tranquil Tarn, an East wind gusting force 8 and 9, wonderful light and an inspiring gale for marine painting!

The past few days post the Monaco Yacht Show have been focused on looking for another place to settle; I must go down to the sea again, the lonely sea and the sky

Where to rent next, cote d’azur, Loire Atlanique, Bordeaux, Cornwall? all are possibilities and all have merits…

Yesrterday closed with an impressive sunset and to the East an impressively pink sky. dusk_east__IMG_8761_d.JPG

How to find some where to re settle, any suggestions? (more…)
